To the veteran: You don’t choose where you’re going to live or how long you’re going to live there,
you concede safety and comfort, familiarity and stability,
you sacrifice regular presence with loved ones,
and you surrender your own good for the good of others.
Thank you for giving up your freedoms so we may be given ours. We are so grateful.
Have a special thank you message to a veteran? Feel free to leave it in the comments below. Also, if you plan to post a pic of your favorite vet this Veterans Day, tag it with #lovemymilvet so I can be sure to see it too. (And PS: Check in tomorrow for a special giveaway opportunity for military spouses.)
Kristen,
I just want to say thank you to ALL Vets and their families. They all give up so much for us and don’t get the treatment they deserve when they come home! Even the VA mistreats vets! Such a shame!!
Blessings to all!
Veterans have fought to save lives as well as to preserve our liberties many times in distant lands far away from home! They sacrificed their own comfort zone, and their own immediate needs out of love for the USA! They have contributed more to the cause of freedom than most of us can only imagine giving! God Bless our Veterans! God Bless America!
Cannon AFB
Even though this base gets a bad rep, the people here are fantastic and so very supportive of military members! We love it here!
