If I ask you this question: “Are you drawn to or repelled by change?” What is your reflex response? If it’s to give change the side eye or to sprint away from it, then this book is for you.
If you’re wary of change, tired from change, and just wish things could settle the heck down for ten minutes, then this book is for you.
The first 19 years of my marriage, much change came my way as a result of marrying a member of the United States Air Force. Since becoming a civilian family, I’ve known change through other ways still: losing parents, changing relationships, and growing kids–to name but a few.
I didn’t want some change and I did want others, although wanted change can certainly still be hard. It took me a long time to have a hopeful view of either kind.
When I began to reframe the change that God allowed so I saw it as a grace rather than a grievance, it changed me for the better and helped me look at my circumstances in a more hopeful way.
I don’t always do this well, and you can still hear me complain about hard change. But I do see it differently now. I see how even in difficult change, God is still for me and making a way for me to walk through it.
I also want to help you see change differently too, to see how God has good things waiting for you on the other side of it.
After spending parts of the last 2 1/2 years mapping, writing, editing, photographing, creating, and praying for this little beauty, When Change Finds You: 31 Assurances to Settle Your Heart When Life Stirs You Up finally releases into the world TODAY! 👏🎉🤸♀️🎈
I wrote this book during a time of much change in my own life, not to mention during the first year of a pandemic. And I believe it delivers what it promises: It will help you think and feel differently about change on the inside so you live and love differently through change on the outside.
And how will we get to accomplishing this?
By reading through the 31 readings of When Change Finds You in which we’ll:
◻️Acknowledge the different losses change brings.
◻️Accept God’s promises are believable and His presence is unchangeable.
◻️Adapt our hearts to be flexible, because God’s plans are purposeful.
◻️Abide in Jesus by leaning into the change He allows.
