“I learned that sadness does not sink a person; it is the energy a person spends trying to avoid sadness that does that.”
~Barbara Brown Taylor, Learning to Walk in the Dark
If your path meanders through a hard place today, may you pause to acknowledge the loss but keep moving one foot in front of the other. May you know that you’re not called to just get over your life difficulty but get through it. And as you do this, may you remember you don’t need to walk through it with head bent and arms crossed. The Father who has already prepared your way goes with you. May you move in his presence knowing you don’t have to act strong or tough or like you got it all together. You only have to believe Hope always, always gets the last word, and it will in your situation too.

Timely words…much needed reminder to just keep taking one more step (when I’d just as soon give up, give in, cave to the feelings). Thank you my friend. ?
Kristen,
Great perspective! I love this: “I learned that sadness does not sink a person; it is the energy a person spends trying to avoid sadness that does that.” Why avoid sadness–let the tears flow and be healed from your grief or dark time!!
Thank you for the timely words to keep walking through not around our trials and that God is ALWAYS there with us!
Blessings 🙂
Nice thoughts. I’ll have to mention your site to some of the ladies I work with.
