Today is one of those mornings that feels every bit of the Monday it is, y’all. We’ve been on fall break for the better part of two weeks, and I don’t want to give into today with its foggy early arrival and before school band practice and breakfast time rush.
For the love, would somebody please pass me the extra large chai latte?
So as the whole house slowly yawns itself into the routine of a new week, do you mind if I sit and chat with you about a few things?
First, have y’all heard of Jennifer from Studio JRU? She has a gorgeous shop filled with inspiring prints and other artwork that breathe fresh air into your heart and walls. And guess what? Jennifer has generously offered the readers of Chasing Blue Skies a 20% discount with this code: BlueSkies20. This coupon code is good through the end of October.
Thank you ever so kindly, Jennifer!
Jennifer is a fellow (in)courage writer and one of the sweetest hearts around. Her family took a hit from the recent government shutdown, and even though the shutdown is now over, families like hers are still feeling its ripple effects. Shopping from Jennifer’s site is not only the perfect opportunity to help a uniquely gifted girl and her family, but it’s also a way to knock out some early Christmas shopping.
Double win!
Later this week, I’ll be enjoying the Allume conference in South Carolina. Are you attending, too? If so, please tell me so I will know to hunt you down and say hello! Or give you a massive bear hug, as my snuggle-loving self has been known to do.
And if you are attending, are you nervous? Excited? Both?
I know there are several meetups scheduled during allume, but I wanted to make sure my fellow military wives attending know about one hosted by Aprille Donaldson of Beautiful in His Time. It will be at 5pm during dinner Thursday night. Just look for the reserved table holding a red, glittery sign {grin}. Contact Aprille at aprille.beautifulinhistime@gmail.com for more information!
Also, for those of you who have faithfully participated in out of the blue, I need to tell you that this linkup has been placed on hold indefinitely. Please know how much I have appreciated your gloriously inspiring posts, and I hope to read more of your out of the blue surprises in the future!
Dear friends, may this week bring you wonderful discoveries, second chances, and fresh air in abundance. I love you wildly!

Hey Kristen,
I so wish I was going to the Allume Conference, but I’ve been so busy with wedding plans. Hopefully next year when things are more settled I can indulge myself a little. I’d love to give you a hug in person! Getting back into a routine after being off on break is chai latte worthy :). Always happy to see your posts pop into my inbox!
Blessings to you,
Bev
