Women become mothers in a hodgepodge of ways. Whether you are a mother who has given life through birthing a baby, adopting a child, or encouraging others, Happy Mother’s Day to you! I also know that Mother’s Day isn’t a yippy skippy time for some. Many are struggling with infertility, dealing with the loss of a child or parent, or have a deployed spouse. Whatever your situation, may you believe truth over feelings. May you know you are loved, valued and a treasured possession!
In honor of Mother’s Day, I wanted to share with you a new video from Anita Renfroe, the genius behind “The Mom Song”. This little video, entitled “In da Muthahood”, is sure to make you crack a smile even if Mother’s Day hasn’t gone as you had hoped. Especially if Mother’s Day hasn’t gone as you had hoped!
Happy Mother’s Day, Friends!

So funny! I love Anita Renfroe, and I especially love the mom song. I know it’s so true, even though I’m not a mom!

This year, especially, I thought all day about the years I spent before Owen was born totally dressing mother’s day. It felt like a day that had been created to make me feel even worse about my infertile situation. As I look back, I realize how beautiful the day was, even if I didn’t have my own biological child at the time. Guess that’s why they say hindsight is 20/20, eh?

And I guess that’s why we get smarter with age! You are a good Mama, Friend!
